Industrial & Commercial

Traditional Spec & Drawings
Traditional spec and drawings approach (Consultant designed Public Services), competitively tendered and adopted predominantly by public service bodies still maintain a large part of our workload, and we are always more than happy to install such schemes.

We:

  • Provide and establish reasonable and fair prices for the project
  • Ensure all works delivered are in line with the specification and its engineering requirements
  • To base our bids on complete documents, and try to minimise qualifications at tender stage.
  • Work with the main contractor and/or client should there be an element of re-design or if projects are over budget.

Design and Build
We place heavy emphasis of the design, bid and build project delivery system and like to get involved early in design, and develop schemes in conjunction with main contractors and end users paying close attention on these basic principles:-

  • Impartiality and designing and delivering a scheme which protects the interests of the main contractor as well as the end user.
  • Cheaper Products are not always better, but 'Valued Engineering' should mean exactly what it says
  • Provide and establish reasonable and fair prices for the project
  • To base our bids on complete documents, and try to minimize the risk of incomplete, incorrect or missed items which are often discovered after the bid process.
  • Provide a range of potential options
  • Use competition to improve the efficiency and quality of products installed.

On previous contracts, we have been able to work closely with the clients checking agent/consultant, whilst having our own in-house design capabilities, fully design indemnity, and our own draughtman using AUTOCAD.

M & E Partnering
Working in partnership with a local well established Electrical Contractor, Watertite are in a position to offer combined M&E schemes (if required) for the Industrial and Commercial market place.

Our specialist M&E services team have a combined experience of over 100 years in the building services industry, and many larger contracts benefit from a 'combined package'.

Maintenance/Servicing

Planned Preventative Maintenance

Watertite Heating carries out Servicing and Planned Maintenance of all HVAC Systems including both Domestic and Industrial & Commercial.

One of the common challenges domestic, commercial and industrial customers face are breakdowns of HVAC systems resulting from lack of planned preventative maintenance.

A preventative maintenance contract can help reduce such mechanical failures, and increases system efficiency, which could ultimately result in lower energy costs. Various organisations require different levels of contracts and service commitments, and we pride ourselves on our flexibility to adhere to such commitments.

Reactive Maintenance

We also offer reactive maintenance services, and we are dedicated to carrying out repairs to reinstate your buildings' assets as soon as possible.

Factory Support

Watertite Heating Ltd has a long and varied past in providing support to various manufacturing, engineering and process customers.

Whilst the majority of these organisations have their own maintenance department with directly employed engineers, during re-organisations or busy periods, we are often called upon in a supporting role.

From the design and installation of public health services to large scale Abattoirs using stainless steel, to carrying planned preventative and reactive Maintenance.

We have dedicated engineers specialising in steam and condensate systems, compressed air and general piped services.

Watertite Heating Ltd are into a second five year "term contract" with Westland Helicopters Ltd of Yeovil, installing and maintaining all services within their Yeovil Facility.

The contract involves a minimum of 10 site-based engineers for maintenance support to their facilities as well as general new installations as and when they occur.

Renewables

Renewable energy effectively uses natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat, which are naturally replenished. Renewable energy technologies range from solar power, hydroelectricity/micro hydro, biomass and biofuels for transportation.

Watertite have installed a number of renewable energy schemes from CHP (combined Heat power) to Biomass Boilers, Photovoltaic and Solar Water Systems.

In the recent 2007 Annual Review by The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall it was announced that the Household of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall reduced its carbon emissions by 9 per cent.

This major success was achieved through a number of innovative measures, including the installation of a carbon neutral heating system at their Gloucestershire home.

Somerset based energy experts, BJP Consulting Group Ltd were appointed to design and project manage the scheme, which included a British made Talbotts boiler. The boiler has been designed to utilise a number of renewable fuels including woodchip & miscanthus and is supplemented with Viessmann solar panels and includes energy and carbon metering.

Watertite Heating of Yeovil undertook the full site installation and coordination of the Project, bringing it to a successful conclusion in just 10 weeks.
